Take a trip back to the '70s, '80s and '90s

Advertiser Staff

Check out KGMB9's "Sunrise" show weekday mornings from 5 to 8 a.m., but pay particular attention on Thursdays when Malika Dudley and Byron Furukawa give their tips on what's happening "Around Town" for the week ahead. Dudley spent much of the past week covering the devastating tsunami in Samoa, so this week's recommendations come from Furukawa:

This week there are lots of things to do that will not only bring us back to "the good ol' days," but also help us create new memories with a familiar undertone.

Saturday, you've got to take a trip down memory lane at the "Mega '80s and '90s Music Festival." En Vogue, The Jets and Ready For The World will all be performing. Sunday, head on down to Apartm3nt for the "Three's Company" theme party that pays tribute to the popular '70s TV series.

There's also going to be plenty to laugh about this week. Tuesday night, Doug Benson from VH1's "Best Week Ever," comes to Pipeline Café. Wednesday, comedian Steve Byrne takes the same stage followed by the hard rock band Children of Bodom. Here's what's happening around town (in no particular order):

1. "Mega '80s and '90s Music Festival," Blaisdell Arena, 5:30 p.m. Saturday

2. The Official Mega '80s After Party, Sapphire at Bonsai Restaurant and Lounge, 10 p.m. Saturday
