WAILUKU, Maui — Officials have identified the woman whose remains were found following an early morning fire in Ulupalakua last Saturday as Cheryl Lynn Ledbetter, 49, of Olympia, Wash.

Officials used dental records to identify the remains, a Maui County news release said.
The fire was reported at 1:13 a.m. Saturday at a home on Kini Drive. Fire crews from the Kula, Makawao and Kahului stations found the home to be fully engulfed by fire. Firefighters brought the fire under control at 2:17 a.m.
Another occupant of the house, a 61-year-old man, is being treated for burns at Straub Hospital in Honolulu. Maui police said it appears the man was burned while trying to save Ledbetter.
A third occupant of the house was not injured.
Damage to the single-story home was estimated to be $110,000 to the structure and $30,000 to its contents. The cause of the fire remained under investigation yesterday by fire and police investigators.
