NFL: Browns quarterback Brady Quinn puts house up for sale

By Marla Ridenour
Akron Beacon Journal

Browns backup quarterback Brady Quinn has put his home in Avon Lake up for sale, according to the Web site WaitingForNextYear.com.

According to the site, a blog dedicated to Cleveland and Ohio State sports, Quinn’s four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 4,500-square-foot house was listed Tuesday.
According to the site, the home’s owner is Brayden Tyler Quinn and the asking price is $775,000.
ESPN.com’s James Walker also reported the story, citing an industry source. According to Walker, Quinn bought the home in June 2007.
The listing adds to speculation that Quinn will be traded before the Oct. 20 deadline.
Browns coach Eric Mangini, who did not draft Quinn, said Monday that Derek Anderson “will continue to start” despite completing only two passes in Sunday’s 6-3 victory at Buffalo.
Quinn started the first three games of the season before being benched at halftime in Week 3 at Baltimore in favor of Anderson.
The 22nd overall pick in 2007 from Notre Dame, Quinn is 1-5 as a starter over two seasons. Then-General Manager Phil Savage gave up a first-round pick in 2008 in a trade with Dallas to select Quinn.
Quinn needed to play 70 percent of the snaps this season for $11 million in escalators to kick in and the chance for Quinn to earn that money seems to be dwindling.
Mangini acquired ex-Jet Brett Ratliff in a draft-day trade, presumably to be the backup quarterback.
