Portland cement imports fall 26 percent in Aug. from year ago
Hawai'i imports of finished Portland cement, an indicator of construction activity, fell 25.9 percent in August compared to the same month a year earlier.
There were 25,959 metric tons shipped during August for Hawai'i.
Portland cement shipments are considered an indicator of construction activity.
