Chai's Island Bistro will celebrate its 10th anniversary Nov. 20 in company with its sister restaurant, Singha Thai, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. (Singha Thai is operated by Chai Chaowasaree's sister.)

For the event, Chai has invited a who's who of chef friends to help: Kevin Chong of Chef Mavro, Rodney Uyehara of The Beachhouse, Russell Siu of 3660 on the Rise, Sansei's D.K. Kodama, Vino's Keith Endo, Hiroshi Fukui of Hiroshi's Eurasion Tapas, Alan Takasaki of Le Bistro, Goran Streng of Tango, Elmer Guzman of The Poke Stop and Hardy Kintscher of Michel's, just to name a few. And there will be entertainment, including Jerry Santos, Sistah Robi, Na Palapalai and the Brothers Cazimero with the kane (men) of Hula Halau Na Kamalei. And there will be sake, wine and beverage stations.

This must-have ticket for the event at the base of Aloha Tower doesn't come cheap: VIP seating with waiter service is $1,500 per person for tables of 10; reserved seating without wait services is $1,000 per table, and grazing tickets are $95. The dining event is from 6 to 9 p.m., followed by a party hosted by Glam Photography's Russell Tanoue at Chai's from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets: 585-0011, or, after tomorrow through www.chaisislandbistro.com.
