All 1,600 tickets for Friday’s world premiere of “Barbarian Princess” at Hawai‘i Theatre have been sold, Hawaii International Film Festival officials announced today, and a second screening has been added for Oct. 25 at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18.

The screening will be at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 25, the final day of HIFF.
“Barbarian Princess” is based on Princess Ka'iulani’s life. Tickets will be on sale for the second screening by Friday morning at HIFF.org and the HIFF ticket office, HIFF officials said.
HIFF’s opening news conference was this morning and it’s opening film “Mother Madeo,” screens tonight at Dole theaters.
Also at the news conference, ABC announced it would be giving a sneak preview of the “Lost” memorabilia it will have at a silent auction at the series finale in May of next year. The preview will take place at the Royal Hawaiian during the “Lost” gala even at 8:30 Saturday night. Portions of the proceeds from the auction will be given to a Hawai‘i charity to be named at a later date.
