The local solar company Sunetric has been using its mobile solar power station, Watt Wheels, to help green up community events such as the All Watercraft Cleanup at Sand Island, the Haleiwa Farmers Market and Nature Play Day at YMCA Camp Erdman.

The Honda Element retrofitted with three 230W Sunpower modules can provide up to 12 hours of free solar power without a charge and raises awareness of alternative energy. GRAYWATER, PHOTOVOLTAIC WORKSHOPS

Jeremai Cann will lead two workshops at The Green House on Saturday to teach participants how to create a "graywater" catchment system and how to use photovoltaic panels to make electricity from sunlight.

From 10:30 a.m. to noon, Cann will demonstrate how water drained from baths, showers, washing machines and sinks can be reused for irrigation and other applications.
