Hawaii campus included in sale of Heald College

Advertiser Staff

The Hawaiçi campus of Heald College is included in a $395 million purchase of Heald College by Corinthian Colleges Inc., one of the largest post-secondary education companies in North America.

Corinthian signed an agreement to buy Heald Capital LLC and its 11 campuses in California, Oregon and Hawaiçi. Heald is changing hands for the second time in three years. In 2007 a group lead by Brad Palmer, head of Palm Ventures LLC, bought a controlling interest in the private school focusing on two-year degrees in health care, business, technology and legal.
Heald’s Hawaiçi campus is located at 1500 Kapiolani Blvd. The Hawaiçi operation is a successor to Honolulu Business College which was founded in 1917 and Cannon’s School of Business.
