Rescuers search again for woman last seen Sunday

Hawaii County fire rescue crews resumed searching the shoreline and ocean around the Keahole Point area yesterday for a woman reported missing on Sunday.

Hawaii County police identified the woman as 41-year-old Tomoko Ioh.

Police say she left her home about 10:30 Sunday morning. Her vehicle was found about 6 p.m. near the ocean thermal energy conversion plant at Keahole Point.

Ioh is described as 5 feet 1 and about 110 pounds. Police say she has a medical condition that may require medication.

Police ask that anyone with information on Ioh's whereabouts call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.
