Advertiser Staff

Two men were charged yesterday in the robbery of two elderly women employees at a store on Pensacola Avenue.

Grant Onogi, 46, was charged with robbery and kidnapping. His bail was $50,000. Prosecutors also charged Lance Nakada, 39, with robbery and kidnapping. His bail was $75,000.

The two men are accused of robbing two women, ages 70 and 71, in the LaParisienne store at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. One woman told police one of the men punched her in the face.

Both suspects fled the store, but were later arrested.

One woman recognized Onogi as a janitor at a nearby business, police said.

MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT

A 24-year-old man was charged yesterday with breaking into an Ewa Beach home and sexually assaulting a 25-year-old woman.

Kahealani C. Aleviado was charged with sexual assault and burglary. His bail was $100,000.

Aleviado is accused of breaking into a Ikulani Street home early Tuesday. The woman told police she awoke to find a naked man at the door to her bedroom, according to a police affidavit.

Aleviado held her down and sexually assaulted her, the affidavit said. He left, but the woman said she recognized her assailant as possibly being her next-door neighbor. Police arrested Aleviado Wednesday.
