Police arrest three juveniles in Waianae school break-in

Advertiser Staff

Police detained three juveniles near a Waianae area school last night after determining that several classrooms at the school had been broken into and a laptop computer stolen.

Police said patrol officers were sent to the school, which was not identified, about 9:30 p.m. in response to a burglar alarm.
The officers reported seeing three juveniles on school property when they arrived and all three were apprehended near the school. One of the three, a 16-year-old boy, was carrying a laptop computer, police said.
A witness identified all three of the juveniles as having been on the school campus, and the boy holding the computer, which was determined to be school property, was arrested on suspicion of detaining stolen property and trespassing.
