Tomorrow, Island Life will feature ideas for last-minute Halloween costumes.

Advertiser page designer Russell McCrory's No. 9 costume took some time, but he offered a quick alternative:

"One-piece pajamas or long johns are great for the basis of any last-minute costume," he said.

A quick version of his costume calls for brown pajamas and boot laces to stitch the seams. "Find some safety goggles, and you're good to go," he said.

The one-piece suits (or sweatsuits in a pinch) with embellishments like faux fur can also be turned into cat or other animal costumes, or even Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss' "The Cat in the Hat," he added.
