The Chaminade University Educational Foundation has presented a $100,000 grant to the university's President Mary Civille (Sue) Wesselkamper Endowed Scholarship fund.

The scholarship was established in 2008 by Chaminade's board of regents to honor Wesselkamper, who served as president of Chaminade from 1995 until her death in January of cancer. The scholarship provides financial assistance to continuing students at the university who are at risk of not completing their degrees due to financial hardship.

"Sue was passionate about the Chaminade mission to provide all students access to a high-quality college education and to help students succeed in their educational goals," said Nicole Dupont, president of the foundation. The gift brings the scholarship fund to $450,000.
