Honolulu properties seized by IRS will be auctioned

Advertiser Staff

Commercial real estate seized by the IRS during an illegal gambling investigation will be publicly auctioned by the IRS tomorrow.

The properties are at the corner of Rycroft and Sheridan Streets near the Honolulu Wal-Mart/Sams Club stores.
They were forfeited to the federal government as a result of the criminal prosecution of businessman Yong Sang Kim and others on charges of operating illegal gambling games in Honolulu.
There are two commercial mixed-use buildings on 20,130 square feet of land, occupying addresses at 808 Sheridan St. and 1308 and 1320 Rycroft St.
The auction will be held at the property site at 2 p.m., with registration beginning at 1 p.m.
