A 20-year-old man told police he was robbed at gunpoint late Monday night while walking along a sidewalk in Wahiawa.

The man said he was walking alone about 11:30 p.m. when a car stopped nearby. A man who was a passenger in the car got out and approached the pedestrian.

He said the man pulled out a gun, demanded his personal property, got back into the waiting car and fled after he complied, police said.

The man said the robber appeared to be in his 20s.

Police classified the incident as a first-degree robbery and were looking for suspects.
