Honolulu and Maui rank, respectively, as the fourth and fifth most-booked domestic travel destinations for the rest of 2009; additionally, Hawaiian cruising ties for 18th place, Kauai ranks 25th and the Big Island is in No. 29.

The results are from the 2009 Travel Leaders Fall Travel Trends Survey of the top-booked destinations through the remainder of the year.

This year’s survey of 452 Travel Leaders (formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates) from throughout the nation measured trends for both leisure and business travel.

The combined results are reflected in the top destinations listings.

While overall bookings are down year over year, a higher number of Travel Leaders expressed optimism on their business outlook than one year ago.
