The Waimea Solid Waste Transfer Station is scheduled to be closed for paving on Sept. 15 to 17 and reopen on Sept. 18.

This facility’s HI-5 recycling center and mixed recycling bins are scheduled to be closed on Sept. 14 in preparation for the paving work.

The construction project, budgeted at $750,000, is on schedule for completion by the end of October.

During this temporary closure period, residents are encouraged to utilize the Honokaa and Puako Solid Waste Transfer Stations.
