Kaua'i firefighters and the Coast Guard helped a woman who was injured when she was hiking near Hanakapi'ai Falls yesterday.

The woman was hiking near the falls at 1:30 p.m. when she was injured, but it wasn't until later that the Coast Guard could airlift her out of the valley. Lihu'e and Hanalei firefighters went by boat from Black Pot Beach and then hiked in to find her.
