Jaguars pick up former UH lineman Forney off waiver wire

Associated Press

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former University of Hawaii guard Kynan Forney and safety Brian Russell to fill out their 53-man roster.
The team also waived offensive lineman Dennis Norman on Tuesday.

Forney, a 6-foot-3, 302-pound veteran, has started 88 games at right guard. He spent seven seasons with Atlanta — he was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2005 — before joining San Diego in 2008. The Chargers released him last week.
Russell, a 6-2, 210-pound veteran, has started 94 games for Minnesota, Cleveland and Seattle. He started all 16 games the last two seasons for Seattle. The Seahawks released him in final cuts. He has 484 career tackles and 16 interceptions.
Norman started 24 games the last five seasons for the Jaguars.
