The National Weather Service says a significant northwest swell is approaching Hawaii and has issued a high-surf advisory for Oahu’s north and windward shores and north- and west-facing shores on Kauai and Niihau.

The weather service says the advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Surf heights of 14 to 16 feet are expected on Kauai and 12 to 15 feet on Oahu tonight.
