South-bound and north-bound lanes on the H-2 have reopened around 2 p.m. today as firefighters continue to battle brushfires in the Waiawa Ridge area on both sides of the freeway. And the H-1 east bound to H-2 north bound in the area of the tunnels reopened around 2:30 p.m.

Firefighters were called about noon to separate fires.
The first was reported north of the H-1/H-2 merge. A few minutes later, the second was reported on H-2 south-bound just past the Ka Uka interchange.
The area has been the scene of repeated brushfires in recent weeks.
