High-surf advisory issued as northwest swell approaches
The National Weather Service says a significant northwest swell is approaching Hawai'i and has issued a high-surf advisory for O'ahu's north and windward shores and north- and west-facing shores on Kaua'i and Ni'ihau until 6 p.m. tonight.
Surf heights of 14 to 16 feet were expected on Kaua'i and 12 to 15 feet on O'ahu last night.
