It's the Second Saturday of September, which means something special at the Hawai'i State Art Museum.

This month, members of the Hawai'i Craftsmen will offer hands-on arts demonstrations and provide activities so kids and adults can get in on the creative fun from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Today is also the last chance to see "He Aloa A He Alo: Face to Face, Visions and Portraits of Hawai'i," a show that includes more than 5,000 works of art from 1,400 Hawai'i-based artists, all of which celebrate both the subject and the artist. The installation's themes include rediscovering Hawaiian heritage, Asian roots, social consciousness and cultural traditions.
