Two men are in custody and a a 28-year-old Kapa’a man was airlifted to Straub Clinic & Hospital today after an altercation early this morning, Kaua’i officials said.

The injured man was reported in stable condition at Straub.
Kaua’i police arrested two male suspects from Kailua, Kona, for investigation of second degree assault. They were unable to post bail, Kaua’i officials said.
The incident occurred at around 1:58 a.m. this morning on the foot bridge between Duke’s Canoe Club and Kalapaki Beach.
