Ewa, Ewa Beach residents asked to conserve water Friday night

Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is asking Ewa and Ewa Beach residents who live makai of Renton Road to conserve water overnight Friday.

Crews will be closing several large mains that feed the majority of water in the area to make a water service connection.
Work will begin at about 9 p.m. and is expected to take about nine hours to complete. Water will be provided to affected residents though a smaller 12-inch main, but water pressure will be lower than normal.
To help ease the strain on this smaller main, the board asks all residents to use water sparingly and for priority needs only — cooking, drinking, personal hygiene — during this time.
