Ewa residents can expect an increase in aircraft traffic over the Ewa plain because of airfield maintenance work at Honolulu International Airport, the state Department of Transportation said.

Runway 4R will be closed from 11:59 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. tomorrow for electrical wiring work. During this time, flight patterns for arriving and departing aircraft will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over the Ewa Beach area.
