Police arrested three girls yesterday — one of them 11 and the other two, 12 years old — after a 13-year-old girl reported the group stole her iPod.

The girl who reported the incident told police she was walking on a public sidewalk about 5:15 p.m. in Kalihi when the three girls approached her.
She said one of the girls reached out and took her iPod and that all three ran from the area.
The girl called police, and responding patrol officers found all three suspects nearby about an hour later.
The three girls were arrested on suspicion of felony theft. The iPod was recovered and returned to the girl who reported the incident, police said.
