• Notre Dame freshman outside linebacker Manti Te'o (Punahou '08 of La'ie) made two tackles — including one for a 2-yard loss — in a 38-34 loss at Michigan Saturday.

• Oregon junior quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (Saint Louis '06) completed 11 of 21 passes for 163 yards and rushed for 84 yards on 14 carries to help the Ducks get by Purdue, 36-34, Saturday. Masoli scored on a 15-yard run late in the third quarter to break a 24-all tie.

• Oregon State junior safety Suaesi Tuimaunei (Kahuku '06 of La'ie) had five tackles in Saturday's 23-21 win over UNLV. Sophomore linebacker David Pa'aluhi (Wai'anae '07) made three tackles and sophomore defensive back Brandon Hardin (Kamehameha '07 of Honolulu) added one solo stop. UNLV senior defensive end Malo Taumua ('Aiea '05) recorded four tackles and one sack for a 6-yard loss.

• Utah senior linebacker Kepa Gaison (Kamehameha '05 of Kane'ohe) made two tackles with one quarterback hurry and junior defensive end Nai Fotu (Kahuku '07 of La'ie) added one tackle for loss in Saturday's 24-14 win at San Jose State. SJSU junior safety Manu Ngatikaura (Kahuku '04 of La'ie) was in on two tackles and junior linebacker Braden Storaasli (Damien '06 of Kapolei) added one stop for the Spartans.

• BYU sophomore wide receiver Spencer Hafoka (Kahuku '05) caught two passes for 19 yards in a 54-3 rout of Tulane Saturday. Sophomore defensive back Shiloah Te'o (Kahuku '08 of La'ie) made three tackles, including one for a loss.

• California senior defensive lineman Tyson Alualu (Saint Louis '05 of Honolulu) had four tackles in Saturday's 59-7 win over Eastern Washington. Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Aaron Tipoti (Word of Life '08 of Honolulu) made three tackles and sophomore linebacker Solomona Aigamaua (Saint Louis '07 of Honolulu) added one stop for the Bears.

• Stanford sophomore defensive tackle Matt Masifilo (Campbell '07 of 'Ewa Beach) had four tackles in a 24-17 loss at Wake Forest Saturday.

• Washington senior defensive end Daniel Te'o-Nesheim (Hawai'i Prep '04 of Waikoloa) had four tackles and one sack in a 42-23 win over Idaho Saturday. Idaho sophomore linebacker Robert Siavi'i (Leilehua '08 of Wahiawa) made six tackles and junior linebacker JoJo Dickson (Baldwin '07 of Wailuku) added one stop for the Vandals.

• New Mexico State junior defensive end Kawika Shook (Kamehameha '06 of Kapolei) made two tackles with one sack and broke up a pass in Saturday's 21-18 win over Prairie View A&M.

• Weber State senior tight end Cody Nakamura (Baldwin '05 of Wailuku) caught 10 passes for 75 yards, including TD catches of 10 and 14 yards, in Saturday's 24-23 loss at Colorado State. Junior quarterback Cameron Higgins (Saint Louis '06 of Hawai'i Kai) was 29 of 47 for 258 yards with two TDs and two interceptions.

• Linfield (Ore.) sophomore defensive end Sparky Gonzalez (Saint Louis '08) had eight tackles, including 2 1/2 sacks, in Saturday's 37-22 win over Hardin-Simmons. Sophomore linebacker Kalae Parrish (Kapolei '08) and sophomore defensive back Nate Dixon both made seven tackles and Dixon also had an interception. Freshman defensive end Kaohu McCabe (Kamehameha '09) added six tackles and freshman kicker Maika Kunioka (Leilehua '09) made 4 PATs and a 32-yard field goal.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

• Washington senior libero Tamari Miyashiro (Kalani '05 of Kane'ohe) had a combined 39 digs in a pair of sweeps over nationally ranked foes last weekend to help the Huskies capture the Tampa Twice Tournament in Tampa, Fla. Miyashiro recorded 19 digs, three assists and two aces in Friday's win over then-No. 9 Minnesota and had 20 digs and four assists in Saturday's win over then-No. 4 Florida. Washington (8-0) remained at No. 3 in this week's AVCA Division I Top 25 poll.

• Oregon State senior setter Camilla Ah-Hoy (Kahuku '06 of La'ie) was named Most Outstanding Setter after leading the Beavers to the UNLV Alexis Park Invitational in Las Vegas last weekend. Ah-Hoy had 41 assists with 14 digs in a 3-1 win over UC Santa Barbara Friday and 40 assists with nine digs in Saturday's sweep of UNLV. Junior libero Kela Lau Hee (Kamehameha-Maui '07 of Pukalani) had 11 digs and an ace for the Rebels.

• St. John's (N.Y.) freshman libero Ashley Asing (Moanalua '08 of 'Ewa Beach) had a match-high 18 digs in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Troy. Junior defensive specialist Kayla Motoyama (Roosevelt '07 of Honolulu) added eight digs for the Red Storm.

• Pacific (Calif.) senior defensive specialist Dancyne Kama (Kamehameha-Hawai'i '06 of Hilo) was named Most Valuable Player of the Miami (Ohio) Best Western Invitational last weekend. Kama had a combined 51 digs in three wins, including a 25-dig effort in 3-1 win over Troy. It was the third all-tournament team honor for Kama this season. Sophomore outside hitter Rebekah Torres (Kamehameha '08 of Wahiawa) had 16 kills, 12 digs and two aces against Troy.

• St. Mary's (Calif.) sophomore outside hitter Chanteal Satele (Word of Life '08 of Mililani) had a team-high 18 kills while senior middle blocker Megan Burton ('Iolani '06 of Kapolei) hit .533 with nine kills on 15 attempts in a 3-1 win over host San Diego State Sunday. Junior setter Kapua Kamana'o ('Iolani '07 of Honolulu) dished out 40 assists and came up with six digs for the Gaels.

• Boston College sophomore libero Brennan Clark (University High '08 of Mililani) had a match-high 19 digs to lift the Eagles to a 3-2 win over Northeastern Saturday. Later in the day, sophomore outside hitter Jordan Meredith (Kamehameha '08 of Honolulu) led the way in a sweep of Holy Cross, tallying a match-high 14 digs with nine kills.

• Hofstra freshman libero/outside hitter Kylee Maneja (Sacred Hearts '09 of Kapolei) had 14 digs and freshman libero Maile Scarpino ('Iolani '09 of Kailua) added eight digs and an ace to lead the Pride to a 3-1 win over Stony Brook last Tuesday.

• Nevada junior outside hitter Kylie Harrington (St. Francis '07 of Honolulu) had team-highs of 17 kills and 14 digs to lead the Wolf Pack to a 3-2 win over Sam Houston State Saturday. Sophomore setter Tatiana Santiago (Kamehameha '08 of Kahuku) had 35 assists and eight digs. Freshman outside hitter Elissa Ji (Maryknoll '09 of Honolulu) put away eight kills with three digs and freshman libero Kelly Chang (Hawai'i Baptist '08 of Honolulu) added six digs.

• Siena (N.Y.) senior setter Kau'i Robello (Punahou '06 of Honolulu) had 55 assists and 14 kills to lead the Saints to a 3-2 win over Colgate (N.Y.) Saturday. Freshman defensive specialist Lesli Akeo (Kamehameha '09 of Kapolei) had a match-high 27 digs for Siena while Colgate junior outside hitter Logan Keala (Kamehameha '07 of Kane'ohe) had eight kills and nine digs.

• UC Irvine junior outside hitter Larissa Nordyke (Punahou '07 of Honolulu) put away 13 kills in a sweep of Boise State Friday.

• Loyola Marymount sophomore defensive specialist Diana Hiromoto (Punahou '08 of Honolulu) tied for a team-high 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Boise State Saturday.

• Pittsburgh junior defensive specialist Melanie Feldman (Punahou '07 of Honolulu) had 12 digs in a 3-1 loss to New Mexico Saturday.

• Southern Utah junior outside hitter Jazmine Ma'afala (McKinley '07 of 'Ewa Beach) had 11 kills and 10 digs and freshman libero Courtney Lelepali (Punahou '09 of Wai'anae) added a match-high 17 digs in a 3-2 loss to Oakland Saturday.

• Concordia (Ore.) sophomore setter Skyler Kamaka (Kamehameha '08 of Kane'ohe) had 39 assists and six digs in a sweep of Warner Pacific Friday.

• Bryant (R.I.) freshman outside hitter Macy Mitravich (Sacred Hearts '09 of Waimanalo) was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week Monday after she had eight kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 loss to Holy Cross Wednesday. Mitravich also had nine kills and 16 digs in Thursday's 3-1 win over Brown.

• Regis (Colo.) sophomore libero Cassidee Young (Kamehameha '08 of Pearl City) had a team-high 13 digs in a sweep of the Colorado School of Mines Saturday.

• Central Washington junior libero Brandie Vea (Kalani '07 of Honolulu) had 31 digs in a 3-2 loss to West Texas A&M Friday and 34 digs in a 3-1 loss to Grand Canyon Saturday.

• Puget Sound senior libero Leigh Sumida ('Iolani '06 of Kane'ohe) was named to the Colorado College Invitational all-tournament team after she collected 50 digs in three matches.

• Lewis & Clark (Ore.) freshman setter Leia Matsunaga (Kamehameha '09 of Kane'ohe) had 33 assists and 15 digs and senior outside hitter Jessamy Holland (Punahou '04 of Honolulu) added 10 digs and five kills in a 3-2 win over Warner Pacific last Wednesday.

• Redlands (Calif.) senior setter Kelina Smith (Waiakea '06 of Kurtistown) had 46 assists, 13 digs and two aces in a 3-2 win over Trinity Saturday.

MEN'S SOCCER

• Gonzaga senior forward Tye Perdido (Seabury Hall '06 of Kula) was named to the Nike Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team after helping the Bulldogs beat Georgia Southern and Detroit over the weekend. Perdido scored in the 83rd minute of Friday's 3-0 win over Georgia Southern and added goals in the 73rd and 81st minutes of Sunday's 4-0 rout of Detroit. Junior forward Nick Love (Punahou '07 of Kane'ohe) had three assists in two games.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

• St. Mary's (Calif.) senior forward Ashley Nied (Punahou '06 of Kailua) scored the first goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over Portland State. Nied scored in the 19th minute on a one-timer off a cross from the right side of the goal.

• Loyola Marymount sophomore midfielder Erin Rementer (Punahou '08 of Honolulu) scored in the 39th and 77th minutes of Friday's 3-2 loss at Oregon.

• Denver senior forward Lizzy Carlson (Punahou '06 of Honolulu) scored in the ninth minute of Sunday's 3-2 win over TCU. She also assisted on a goal in the 31st minute.

CROSS COUNTRY

• Haley Abing (La Pietra '09 of Honolulu) of Kenyon (Ohio) finished 25th in the women's race of Saturday's Queen City Invitational with a 5-kilometer time of 21:35.00 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Teammate Dai Shen (Roosevelt '09 of Honolulu) finished 85th in the men's race in 20:45.00.

• Kevin Acacio (Waipahu '07) of Illinois Tech finished 34th with an 8-kilometer time of 29:08.47 at Saturday's Pioneers Invitational hosted by Carroll (Wis.). Illinois Tech finished second in the men's team standings.

• Idaho State's Bryce Jenkins (Leilehua '09 of Wahiawa) placed 13th in the men's 6-kilometer race with a time of 20:06.67 at Saturday's home dual meet with Southern Utah. Southern Utah won 23-42.

• Casey Nishimura (Mid-Pacific '07 of Hawai'i Kai) was 72nd in the men's 8-kilometer race for Pacific (Ore.) at Saturday's Lewis & Clark (Ore.) Invitational with a time of 28:55.50.

• Amanda Tamanaha (St. Andrew's '09 of Honolulu) of Willamette (Ore.) placed 22nd in the women's 6-kilometer race of Friday's West Coast Preview with a time of 24:51 in Portland, Ore.

• Dawson Vorderbruegge (Kaiser '08 of Honolulu) of Cal State Stanislaus finished 13th at Saturday's Sacramento State Hornet Jamboree. His team's top finisher, Vorderbruegge ran the 4-mile race in 20:26. Jordan Lerma (Kamehameha-Hawai'i '09 of Kea'au finished 77th in 22:42 for St. Mary's (Calif.).

• Pepperdine's Chelsea Wishard (Kaua'i '07 of Lawai) finished eighth in 17:53.70 in the women's 5-kilometer race at Saturday's UC Irvine Invitational. In the men's race, Northern Colorado's Matt Nakamoto (Hawai'i Baptist '09 of Honolulu) placed 94th with an 8-kilometer time of 27:31.80

• Christina Wong (Punahou '07 of Honolulu) placed fifth with a 5-kilometer time of 20:15.1 to help the Amherst (Mass.) women win its Amherst Invite on Saturday.

MEN'S WATER POLO

• Loyola Marymount redshirt junior driver Andrew Aki (Punahou '06 of Honolulu) scored a goal Saturday's 11-3 win over Whittier (Calif.).

HONORS

• Yale senior soccer player Sophia Merrifield (Punahou '06 of Honolulu) is one of 30 Division I women's soccer players who are candidates for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. The award focuses on four areas of excellence: classroom, character, community and competition.

• St. Francis (Pa.) senior football player Cody Kekipi (Punahou '06 of Waimanalo) was selected to the preseason All-Northeast Conference football team. Kekipi, a 6-foot-1, 270-pound center, was a first- team All-NEC pick in 2008.
