Honolulu part of global yoga event Sunday

Honolulu’s yoga community will take part in the worldwide “mala around the globe” event tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hawaii Tokai International College.

The Honolulu Mala for Peace includes 108 modified sun salutations, mantra and meditation to unite the local yoga community for a common cause.
This is the second year Honolulu is participating in the Global Mala Project’s Yoga Marathon for Peace, which includes yoga practitioners from every continent.
The event is open to the public and costs $50 for an all day pass or $34 for only the 108 Sun Salutation ritual.
Hawaiçi Helping the Hungry Have Hope (H5) will receive 80 percent of the proceeds. For more about the organization, visit http://h5hawaii.org.
