French frigate Prairial open for tours at Aloha Tower

The French frigate Prairial, which docked this morning, will be open for public tours at Aloha Tower through Monday.

The French frigate Prairial is making a port call to Honolulu this weekend and is open for public tours.

The Prairial will be docked at Aloha Tower’s Pier 10 from today until Sept. 23.
Tours are available to the public from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. Children under 6 are not allowed on board. School and group tours may be scheduled by appointment.

The Prairial is based in Papeete, Tahiti, and conducts maritime surveillance of fisheries and illegal activities in French Polynesia.
It carries a Panther helicopter and is armed with four anti-ship Exocet missiles, and a weapons system capable of destroying surface and air targets.
