Chopsticks & Wine 2009 showcases 'The Magic of Waikiki'

Chopsticks & Wine, the annual Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce fundraiser, will feature 15 Island chefs tending tasting stations — the most ever — and will celebrae Waikiki Oct. 6 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.

Among the restaurants participating: 3660 on the Rise, Beachhouse at the Moana, Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant, Le Bistro, Mariposa, Poke Stop, Roy's Restaurant, Royal Hawaiian Center, Okonomiyaki Chib Restaurant, P. F. Chang's Waikiki, Wolfgang Steakhouse, Sam Choy's, Sammy's Restaurant, Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar, The Taste of Times and Twist at Hanohano Room.
In addition, local beverage distributors will be providing tastes of wines, sake and beer. And for an additional fee, wine connoisseurs will be able to taste a flight of exceptional wines in the "Ali'i Lounge."
Tickets are $90 through Sept. 25; $100 after. Ali'i Lounge tickets are an additional $60.

Proceeds from the event benefit the JCC's efforts to seek solutions and serve as a catalyst for discussion and change for the business and community issues.
