CFB: Corp gets start at quarterback for No. 3 USC

Associated Press

SEATTLE — After a week of gamesmanship by Southern Cal coach Pete Carroll, it's Aaron Corp getting the start at quarterback for the No. 3 Trojans against Washington.

Corp took all the snaps with the first-team offense during pregame warmups, then took the field for the Trojans' first possession. He's replacing freshman Matt Barkley, who has a bruised shoulder after last week's win at Ohio State.

The Trojans were also without All-American safety Taylor Mays, who sprained a right knee ligament last week versus the Buckeyes. The Seattle native was hoping to suit up and go through pregame warmups, but walked out to the field about 35 minutes before kickoff in sweats.

It's the first missed game of his career for Mays.
