Hawai’i National Bank opened a new branch today at the corner of Kapi’olani Boulevard and Pi’ikoi street, which replaces the nearby Beretania Street branch.

The building housing the new branch will be renamed the Hawai’i National Bank Building, according to a news release from the bank.
Thomas Ishida has been named as assistant vice president and manager of the new branch. He previously served as assistant manager of Hawai’i National Bank’s main branch on King Street in downtown Honolulu. Veronica Sonico, operations supervisor, and the rest of the staff will move from the Beretania Street location to the new branch.
The Kapiolani facility is a full-service branch equipped with an automatic teller machine, a night deposit box and safe deposit boxes. The bank will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays.
The locally owned Hawai’i National Bank has 14 branches on Oahu, Maui and Hawai`i and will mark its 50th anniversary next fall.
