NFL: Jaguars’ Williamson could be out for season

Associated Press

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Troy Williamson could be done for the season because of a right shoulder injury.

Williamson may have torn his labrum during Sunday’s 31-17 loss to Arizona. Coach Jack Del Rio said he didn’t have test results, but fellow receivers Mike Sims-Walker and Mike Thomas said Monday that Williamson was out for the year.
Williamson, a former first-round bust in Minnesota, was the team’s biggest surprise during the preseason. He caught 12 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, and earned a starting spot opposite Torry Holt.
He has three receptions for 34 yards this season. He was hurt making a catch near the sideline in the second quarter and fumbled on the play.
