A man charged with sexually assaulting and murdering 18-year-old Iris Rodrigues-Kaikana in Kalihi on Aug. 24 was arrested and charged yesterday with assault in an unrelated case.

Corbit K. Ahn, 29, was charged with one count of first-degree assault. He was arrested at 8:45 yesterday morning at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he is awaiting trial on the murder charge.
Police this morning said the arrest was in connection with a complaint filed by a 49-year-old man who said Ahn and another man beat him in the Makiki area on July 23.
The second suspect in the case, a 25-year-old man, was arrested Sept. 19, police said.
Ahn is accused of murdering Rodrigues-Kaikana, whose nude body was found in an alley adjacent to the Kamehameha Homes public housing project. He remains at OCCC on $2 million bail.
