Dinosaurs will spill out of Bishop Museum

Advertiser Staff

You may think you’ve seen dinosaurs at Bishop Museum before, but the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit opening Saturday isn’t the same old thing.

Well, the dinosaur skeletons and fossils in the traveling exhibit are old, but the animatronic dinosaurs aren’t (check out the juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex that reflects the recent theories about some dinosaurs being feathered). And if you think dinosaurs aren’t a big deal, you’ll have to concede this is at least a big exhibit size-wise, since two of the pieces are so huge they have to be kept outdoors instead of with the rest of the exhibit in Castle Memorial Building.
The Vancouver-based traveling exhibit runs through Jan. 4, 2010. For more information, visit www.bishopmuseum.org or call 847-3511. General admission is $15.95 ($8.95 for kamaaina and military), with discounts for children and seniors.
