A man charged with sexually assaulting and murdering 18-year-old Iris Rodrigues-Kaikana in Kalihi on Aug. 24 was arrested yesterday and charged with assault.

Corbit K. Ahn, 29, was charged with one count of first-degree assault. He was arrested at 8:45 a.m. yesterday at O'ahu Community Correctional Center, where he is awaiting trial on the murder charge.

Details of Ahn's latest arrest were not available, and it was not known whether it is related to the Rodrigues-Kaikana case.

Ahn is accused of murdering Rodrigues-Kaikana, whose nude body was found in an alley next to the Kamehameha Homes public housing project. He remains at OCCC on $2 million bail.
