Cast Off Hunger! catamaran sail Saturday benefits Save the FoodBasket

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Hula’s Bar and Lei Stand Waikiki will sponsor a Cast Off Hunger! catamaran sail to benefit local non-profit Save the FoodBasket. The event begins at 11:45 a.m. at Hula’s, with an escorted walk down to the boat. Boat departs at 1pm.
Tickets are $30 plus one food item, such as canned food, cereal or rice, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Save the FoodBasket’s HIV/AIDS services.
Tickets are limited and can be purchased at Hula’s bar, by calling 744-6377 or emailing anickell@thefoodbasket.org.
Founded in 1996, Save the FoodBasket is a not-for profit organization that provides low income individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS on Oahu with hot lunches, grocery and toiletry distribution, home delivery, and an extensive vitamin and nutrition program, all at no cost to the client.
Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand located at 134 Kapahulu Ave., second floor of the Waikiki Grand Hotel.
