Episode 2: If you didn't notice, the blood from Abe Wagner vs. John Maddison (from Episode 1) was fresh and still on the mat. The reason was both fights were on the same day back to back, they were not a week apart. I give all four of these fighters credit, because they were the first fights of the show and their preparation time was limited.

The first day we got there, we had to try out for team selecting. Day 2 was media day, and for the entire day we spent time taking photos, interviews and miscellaneous media related tasks. Day 3 was the weigh-ins for the selected fighters, so as you can see they had very little training time.

The day of the fight, it's not like a normal fight set-up, you are fighting at 12:00 noon. There is no crowd, no ring girls, no family support and no entrance music. It is totally quiet when you walk out! Just the fighters, judges and a couple spectators. It's nothing like what you see on the show.

The game plan for Wes Shivers was simple, press and attack! Easy for me to say, I wasn't the one getting kicked in the leg by James (McSweeney). You could tell by the end of the first round, Wes' gas was down and his lead leg was badly damaged! He could not walk for days after this fight, he was hurt!!

In the second round it was a mirror image of the first round. James kicking Wes in the lead leg and Wes not following the game plan.

The fight was entertaining, but ... I never like to see any fighter put their hands on their knees, bent over showing fatigue during a match. The whole first half of the show is based around Kimbo (Slice), reason being is that he will be fighting next week. Kimbo is a BEAST! and he is definitely in shape. Stay tuned!
