At least nine O'ahu museums will be participating in Smithsonian magazine’s fifth annual Museum Day, which means free entry today to emulate the Washington, D.C.-based institution’s free admission policy.

Print out the free admission card good for two people at http://microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/admission.html.
The participating local museums (some already offer free admission) include:
• Hawaiçi State Art Museum
• Hawaiçi Theatre Center
• Honolulu Academy of Arts
• Mission Houses Museum
• Pacific Aviation Museum
• Queen Emma Summer Palace
• The Contemporary Museum (pictured above)
• Tropic Lightning Museum, Schofield Barracks
• University of Hawaiçi Art Gallery
Find the full museum list (including Neighbor Island participants) at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday and search for Hawaiçi.
Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day is a national event, and with more than 1,200 museums in all 50 states registered, this year is the biggest museum day yet.
