The homegrown Windward Ho'olaule'a has grown. The ninth annual event today features award-winning musicians, ethnic food, crafts and sales ranging from a white elephant and used book sale to a silent auction.

The family-friendly event at Windward Community College this year is themed E Pu Like Kakou (Let's Come Together as One).

The silent auction will benefit the college's student programs and scholarships, and a job fair has been added to the event. "We wanted to send a message of hope in these challenging times, that we're one community and need to support each other," chairman Herb Lee explained in a release.

The community can also have fun together, enjoying music from Na Hoku Hanohano award winners Ledward Ka'apana, Holunape, Brother Noland, Kapaoa and Mailani, catching a preview of Paliku Theatre's "West Side Story" and watching shows at the WCC Imaginarium. There will also be an open house at the Lanihuli Observatory and the Center for Aerospace Education.
