Advertiser Staff

A man who crashed his car into a gate early yesterday was arrested on 15 counts, ranging from theft to possession of a firearm and promotion of detrimental drugs.

When police arrived at the scene on Nalanui Street in Kalihi at 4 a.m. yesterday they found the man slumped behind the wheel passed out, the engine still running and the car in reverse, police said.

While police were removing the 31-year-old from the vehicle, they discovered a pistol in plain view, a glass pipe with white residue, drugs in plastic bags and containers, a container of ammunition cartridges, and clear plastic bags containing white crystal substances, police said.

Charges against Misifosa Fualaau are pending, police said.
