Native, exotic plants among wide variety at Blaisdell

Looking to grow your garden? Exotic fruit trees, roses, orchids, herbs, gingers, heliconias and tillandsias will be among the diverse offerings at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Lyon Arboretum annual plant sale, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

A variety of nurseries will supply thousands of plants, including Native Hawaiian plants, flowering trees, ti, water lilies, succulents and hibiscus. There will also be advice from plant experts, keiki activities, as well as jams and jellies, local handicrafts, fresh haku lei and T-shirts for sale. Admission is $2.
