Hawaii Foodbank 2010 Drive meets its goal
The Hawaii Foodbank met its goal of $500,000 and 500,000 pounds of food at its 2010 food drive today at shopping centers and other locations around the state.
The Food Bank will continue to welcome donations of canned goods and money. which is used to buy food at bulk rates, at all fire stations and participating banks..
More than 183,000 needy island families, children, seniors, men and women each week receive Hawaii Foodbank goods through its network of 250 member agencies.
