Lockdown urged on vending machines after theft attempt

Advertiser Staff

Kaua'i police are urging business owners to make sure that coin-operated or cash-dispensing machines are secure after a soft-drink vending machine was discarded on Waikomo Road early Saturday morning.

Police believe that the vending machine was dragged from the Kōloa Big Save store at 5 a.m. and left on the side of the road, Kaua'i officials said.

Anyone with information about the attempted theft is asked to call Kaua'i police at 241-1711 or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
