Big Island police investigate armed robbery at Kau home

HILO — Hawaii County police are investigating an armed robbery of a home in Kau.
Officers were called to a home in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A 52-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman reported that three men had confronted them outside their home, threatened them with a knife and demanded marijuana. The three told police they ran away and the suspects entered the house, removed a camera bag and fled.
Police ask that anyone with information about this case call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
