OHA grant allows more kupuna at Lunalilo Home

Advertiser Staff

Lunalilo Home has received a $100,000 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs that will allow it to provide financial assistance to elderly people who are residents of the home, as well as those who are indigent.

The money will also allow an increase in the number of kupuna who had previously not been able to be admitted to the Hawai'i Kai facility as a result of financial limitations.

Lunalilo Home, established by the will of King William Charles Lunalilo, is a not-for-profit organization that provides residential care to poor and infirm people of Hawaiian blood, with preference to kupuna.
