First Hawaiian Bank branch robbed twice in a week

For the second time in a week, the First Hawaiian Bank branch on Ward Avenue was robbed.

The latest robbery happened about 9:50 a.m yesterday. Police converged on the area, and a police helicopter was called to help search for the robber.

No description of the robber was released as of yesterday evening.

The same bank was robbed at 11 a.m. last Thursday.

The robber in the earlier incident was described as about 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds. He was wearing a black and white floral hat, gray T-shirt, blue denim pants, white sneakers and a black ski mask.
