Local information technology veteran launches Hawaii Green IT consulting firm

Advertiser Staff

Hawaii information technology veteran Bruce Campbell has launched Hawaii Green IT, a consulting firm that helps businesses reduce their energy consumption.

“Hawaii Green IT provides solutions to local business, government, education and military sectors looking to cut costs by reducing their overall power consumption,” said Campbell, chief executive officer of Hawaii Green IT.
Campbell, a 40-year Hawaii resident and graduate of Punahou School, says he was inspired by Hawaii’s Clean Energy Initiative and the state’s high cost of electricity.
The initiative aims to cut the state's dependence on foreign oil for most of its energy needs and calls for 70 percent of the state's energy to come from renewable resources by 2030.
