Gen. Frederick C. Weyand, retired Army Chief of Staff and commander of U.S. Army forces in the Pacific, will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at Central Union Church. A reception will follow. He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Robert; daughters, Carolyn Harley and Nancy Hart; stepsons, Bill Foster and Dow Foster; stepdaughters, Whitney White and Laurie Foster; brother, Robert; and five grandchildren. Lawrence Joseph Abreu, 84, of Pukalani, Maui, died Feb. 7, 2010. Born in Päia, Maui. Retired Haleakalä Dairy salesman. James "Jim" Lester Fessenden, 69, died Feb. 5, 2010. Born in San Bernadino, Calif. Operated Davy Jones Locker and the Irish Rose Saloon in Waikíkí.
